I've decided to use air to blow out my fresh water lines instead of pink antifreeze this year. I was thinking I'd run the tank dry then connect my dinghy pump (with tape) to the FW pump output line. I'd open the faucets one at a time and pump away. I'd cleanmy shop vac hose (or buy a new one for this purpose) and evacuate the little bit of water left in the FW tank (my concern being a frozen plug in the output fitting, not the residual in the open tank). I figure any residual that collects in the low part of hoses would not hurt the reinforced flexible clear plastic lines. I'm mainly concerned with rigid fittings and fixtures.
I've always used the pink AF in the past, so this is the first time using this approach. Anyone have comments or suggestions?
