Mine does, otherwise I would have used an adapter in place of the fill cap, like you.

I think it's alcohol, some colored dye, and water.
It's classified as non-toxic

Dunno about the timing for this thread. Always good to plan ahead! I drain the tanks with a pump...
Been doing this with a shop vac for years . . .
