Then when we 'slow down' on the local transportation, the world expands. We've gone from third world villages to bustling cities, all in the same day. Finally on foot, when you meet people face to face, the world expands beyond any ability to understand it all. I've especially enjoyed the off season on our tour. I don't see how some of these places could survive the crush of tourists that descend. The locals we've met would be invisible in season.
We're headed to Milan today.
