We were anchored in this narrow harbor after a hard days sail. Another sailboat came in just at dark and anchored near us. It started to rain. During the wee hours there was some bumping so my dad and the other owner pushed the boats apart in the pouring rain. Soon enough, they were bumping again, at which point my dad simply told the other guy let's get some fenders out and tie the boats together and get some sleep. Maine used to be that kind of place.
