If you use them to move the boat be careful. Almost had a boat anchoring run into me when the owners were using the headsets. If I didn't have a LOUD whistle I think they would have. So yourself a favor and if moving the boat only use one of the ear muffs. Still need to hear what is going on outside the two of you.
