Only used it one time, but was very helpful. We were in an anchorage along the outside of the Baja and it was late at night. A boat called on VHF asking for help getting in to a safe place. They had no radar or plotter at the time and there was no moon out and they sounded VERY tired. So, we lit up the boat with the deck lights and snapped on the strobe. They got in just fine!
