I just received an email from Navionics about Autorouting from dock to dock:

"Tap your start and end waypoints or select a point of interest or lat/long. Autorouting shows a detailed route that includes precautions and considers boat settings and navaids. View your distance to arrival, ETA and speed."

Now you don't even have to think about those challenging navigation issues, just click on the button and you're all set. Joking aside, this may actually improve safety for some boaters as long as it doesn't encourage brain disconnect. Assuming sufficiently detailed charts, accidents such as the Team Vestas Wind Volvo 65 pileup could be avoided.
