Nobeltec VNS has had "auto routing" for years.
You can set your desired margin of safety for hazards, draft etc, but it has no knowledge of weather, currents or scenery.
It can even steer the boat by connection to autopilot.

We never used either option in our 10 years and 30,000 miles with Nobeltec as our nav software, because we see little advantage in these particular "gadgets"
