OMG, Larry!! I still haven't figured out how make a waypoint in my old handheld GPS.
Time to get modern, Westy.
You don't need waypoints, Westy. Just steer your icon between the rocks.
Correction: My ditch backup is a Garmin GPS MAP 276c
We still use them for "the big picture" and looking for passages or stopping places.
On the 'big picture' this guide reviewed on Panbo looks like a good tool.
Don't want to make it too easy!
