CQR and 250' of 3/8" HT ACCO chain have worked for us

We have a 65# CQR (or maybe a 60# one?). Roccna and Manson suggest an 80# anchor for our boat; so I'm not sure that apples-to-apples performance would be for us.

The choice to change is really made when I deal with our spinnaker's sprit pole. The wider Roccna style anchors would block the extension.

Our CQR's only drawback is in soft mud, you have to be careful to set it. Once it dig's in, it's fine. I've found that the trick is set it with 3x1,or so, scope; and, NOT to pack down quickly until it's set. In my opinion, there isn't any comparison for any of the anchors to a Danforth style anchor. We have a HUGE Fortress that's folded below as a storm anchor -- it's never seen anything but a fresh water douche and some WD40.
