I keep a 25'er for fresh water that gets used as a deck shower most of the time. I have a quick connect at the galley sink for a hot water shower on deck. It's not unusual that the 25'er isn't long enough to reach all the tanks on our boat at docks with no extra hose. One of these collapsable hoses in 50' will take up much less space than the 25'er we carry now.
I was told, under pressure, they'll swell up in hot sun. Hence the manufacturer says to leave it un-pressurized. Then I assumed it was fine in the sun. No matter on a boat either way. The one I bought has brass fittings. I thought I would have preferred plastic for the deck wash for the salt water. Maybe not.
