Pretzeled the inner section of my 12/22 adjustable whisker pole. Bought a length of commercial aluminum tubing with the right O/D to repair it. The tubing had a thicker wall size/smaller I/D but that didn't matter and hopefully will be stronger than the original. Told the commercial pipe supplier what I wanted the tubing for but don't remember if they spec'd marine alloy for the tube. In any case it's worked fine though slightly, not a lot heavier than the original.
