() are on a boat. The bullnose I plan to cut for the perimeter has to be strong and the lid has to stay shut. I think the 1" wood bullnose will be easy on feet and a good grip for soles(now it is a 3/4" square edge).
I'll be reusing the existing locker latches(have you priced bronze latches lately?) but have to fashion my own hooks for the new configuration.
There are a lot of details in a cockpit. I love working out details.
