If you didn't see that "pooling" of water before, then the designer of the boat took care of you. If you're changing them, then I'd worry about it.
Otherwise, there are a lot of things to consider. (e.g., maybe your after end of the cockpit, traveler, etc. are an area I'd think about before this.
On our J/Boat, we've occasionally driven through green water, rolled (not quite a broach), and had a lot of water flowing across the high and low sides of cockpit. I've had 25 gallons of water make it's way along the "high side", dump into my boots, and then out the wheel well. The front end of the cockpit, and the seat cushions NEVER had any pooled water.
The angles of the cockpit seats, coaming, etc. either encourage water to pool there or not.
Was that picture was taken as the trim of the boat was unnatural (say in a broach where the bow is being held down ("pinned down") along with the leeward rail, etc.)?
If not, that's just a badly thought-out cockpit and general trim of the boat under way.
