Appreciate the perspectives. Todd, I have been looking at lenses and understand that can add significantly to the cost. I'm probably a little more familiar with Nikon lenses than Pentax... Tom you addressed my two concerns well. I spent the evening Tuesday looking through Onne Van der Wal's book Sailing, and looked at the camera/lens specs for the shots I liked. It seems like the 70-200mm gets a lot of use in his arsenal.
