When my kids were babies, and before I got into sailing, Rockport harbor was a frequent day trip from Bayside. My wife had grown up "summering" in Bayside and had always gone down to Rockport once or twice a year to see Andre. We kept the tradition up after we met in the late seventies and right through Andre's death.

Every time we went down there, we would just yell out his name and he would appear, either in the pen or out of it.

Both my kids got to see him in action before he was gone and I am glad for that. I assume that is who the red workboat is named after.

Is is the current harbormaster from the same family or simply nodding to Rockport history?
