I think. As you know, he was the harbor master that found Andre' as a pup. I've met 2 of Harry's daughters. One has told me quite a bit of what it was like during the Andre' years.

Andre' would actually clammer up from the harbor to their house(just a few houses up my street), and plop down on the kitchen floor. Not being house broken he was a little messy but the family loved him so. He was always welcome in their kitchen.
