Too bad they give little information on how they handled the 3-day gale. No drogue, sea anchor, heaving to? I almost got the impression they were motoring without and sail up at all.
And having to back track 500 miles because they lost the generator? There was no backup such a water tanks?
As an old-fart who sailed bare bones, sans engine and only a sextant for navigation, my heart goes out to those new cruisers seemingly tethered to land by their modern conveniences failures. Sheeesh!
