Two friends and I caught a ride as rail meat on Wild Horses 10 years ago in an Eggemoggin Regatta week feeder race, from Camden, round to Stoninton back to Center Harbor. The Donald (the other Donald as in Tofias) drove the boat. It was an absolute thrill, as we started last (pursuit race) and thundered through the pack with a massive Asym up at 15 knots in medium wind. We had cute young blonde girls bringing us drinks and sandwiches to boot. Very memorable day, a taste of how the really wealthy live. There is a picture somewhere of the three of us standing behind the massive wheel, which is hand laminated of teak with the letter W as the spokes of the wheel. A boat builder friend of mine made the wheel when he worked at French & Webb. Wish I had a pic from that day.
