talk it over with them. I've had two units, one for my refrigerator and one for my freezer for over 10 years with zero problems on Brendon. Their located in Newport Beach Ca. They make the cold plates out of SS and the cooling tubes inside have fins much like the radiator on your car. Most systems use aluminum material and simple tubes with no fins. I like the Engles as well but you need a place with ventilation all around. Cutting out the existing ice box might be problematic but it could be done. You would still need to establish a cooling circuit or leave it out in the open. I've seen them used that way but it takes up a lot of room, even on a 40 footer. Adler Barber makes a pretty good unit and mine lasted for years but the company was sold so the unit are not the same as the originals. They also use aluminum cold plates which are easier to puncher then Stainless Steel. As I said, I would make the call.
