out your counter. If I can crawl into my frig. compartment so can you. I demoed as much as I could working through the lid hole and then lowered myself down into it with a claw hammer and hatchet. Once I had the interior cleared out I removed myself. This took several trips into the box over several days. Next I built back the insulation using custom ordered vacuum panels sandwiched between the blue board insulation. I built the freezer compartment at the same time. I bought some space age plastic that's good down to about a million degrees below zero and cut it to fit for the walls and bottom. I ended up with a wall thickness of about four inches but an inch and a half was vacuum panels. The bottom was built up into shelves or more like steps going up the inside curve of the hull. I used foam to build the steps and then covered them with the plastic fitting everything tight. This way everything doesn't end up in the bottom of the box in a pile. Everything is on a shelf behind a plexiglass retainer. I had a guy come in with his plastic welder and weld up all the seams. I installed the holding plates, 2 for the freezer and one larger one for the frig. I installed a muffin fan at the top of a PVC pipe to circulate the air and made a sliding shelf to hold the small items. We were living aboard at the time so it took much longer then it should have and we used a small apartment frig sitting in the pilot house in the mean time. We ended up with a killer set up and didn't disturb our original counters. It was hard building everything thrilling have the hatch but it can be done.
