Why in the heck do they need anything special... That guy was moving back and forth across the dock in so many ways... at some point all he had to do was step off.
I know my cutaway forefoot full keel doesn't allow anywhere close to that sort of back and forth maneuverability... Oh it does forward just fine... but backward takes a head of steam and lots and lots of room.

- I have, but it works way better with an aft breast spring. That puts the force amidships and
