There is a very good man, I think I mentioned him, running for a seat in the Maine state senate. He's the sort of person who should be making the decisions that govern us. My reason for needing to vote this election was mostly about him. There are also five ballot questions about which I have strong views. I want my voice heard on those.

I remember being somewhere off the US coast when learning the results of the 2000 election. In the distance that shore could have been any country. I decided it didn't matter what voters in any particular one of the countries I spent my time in chose for themselves. I was a citizen of Planet Earth. I was wrong. Anything I can do to make things better for the planet in any country is worth doing.
