He's referring to your pic, Rick.
No Netbook experience, but I just finished setting up two Gateway NV54 laptops with Windows 7. A couple of compatibility issues with drivers, but overall I am very pleased. My bloody Vista machine takes two forevers to load. Windows 7 only takes one forever.
Most importantly, I've got Delorme Street Atlas and Coastal Explorer loaded and working.
Since I am using a Microsoft GPS with CE, I had to install stupid Streets and Trips to get the drivers right. That has been my biggest hassle so far. Installing a Microsoft product to work with a Microsoft product difficult? What are the odds? Forty Five minutes on the cell phone in prime time solved the issue though. Of course, if I hadn't had to tell my story 4 times and had managed to get to the guy who actually helped me first, it would have been a five minute phone call. I have his direct number now, though. :D
Best news of all, the new laptops are a full 2 lbs lighter than the POS HP dv9700 one of them replaced.
