Might be another woman in my life soon

Contemplating getting a second boat. Some might say that contemplating getting a second boat means the onset of madness...but I have not gone mad. Or, maybe I have and don't know it (how could I?)

An opportunity arose to pick up a cheap race-ready Cal 20 that can be dry sailed (stored on trailer and easily launched) from a place that'll cost just $1000 a year to keep the boat, and has a very active year-round racing schedule/community. Also seems like the perfect opportunity to begin to teach my six year old to take charge of the boat, something she certainly can't do our on 33 footer (which will likely be hauled in order to make it easier/cheaper to finish some work on the boat).

It's easy to dream of a simple, capable little boat like this. The fear is that the big boat, hauled out, will become a millstone around one's neck, as the nimble, small boat that is the epitome of easy --to maintain, sail, and store-- takes over... Hell, a Cal 20 was sailed (raced, actually) to Hawaii last year, so maybe I don't need the "big" boat anymore
