My upcoming spring project will be the replacement of all the hoses and fittings, which are dating back to 1989. I have already had a couple of leaking fittings, so it seems to be time to replace it all. right now, I do have a hodgepodge of hoses going from here to there to everywhere. I want to change over to a manifold system. I have found an online place at www.spadepot.com which is selling all the bits and pieces I will need. The manifold and all the fittings etc. are made of chemically-resistant PVC, just like the stuff you buy at Home Depot. The Spa Depot prices appear to be quite reasonable. My question concerns the hoses. The existing hoses are reinforced vinyl. Those are pricey. I could buy clear vinyl for quite a bit less. Are there any pros and cons?
