In my experience, the plain vinyl tends to flatten and collapse. The reinforced stuff seems to take a bend better. Of course, you could do it all in plain vinyl, and then later just replace the stuff that gives you a problem. My druthers have been to do it all the first time with reinforced. BTW, Mcmaster.com is a good source for elbows, tees, and threaded adapters for hose - of course, you have to buy a bag of 5 or 10.
