Not that that's a bad thing. There are a lot of good rigs out there that have fallen into oblivion since the arrival of mass produced Bermuda rigged boats. A pity I think. I'm sure that somewhere in my collection of Woodenboat Magazines there is a photo of a traditional French boat with a rig profile that looks the same. Of course it isn't the same but perhaps a distant relation. I cut my teeth on a schooner rig and personally would rather a traditional split rig on a larger boat that relying on electric winches to run the boat. I really think the performance differences narrow when any boat is cruised by a couple. It's nice to see some new ideas out there.
