Tom I think it depends on the boat and sail plan, and the area you sail. I think 110 is a good compromise on a roller furler because it can be reefed down and still have a reasonable not-too-bad shape, yet give good drive in moderate 8-20k breezes. Light air (under 7k) calls for specialty sails, such as the #1 genoa or reacher, or asymmetric spin for deep-reaching.
