It has the foam luff and time will tell how that works out. I expect there are various grades of foam in use. Most of the sailmakers suggested that as a good all-round compromise for coasal sailing. We got it at the end of the season but it was a serious improvement over my old 135 which had a high clew and shaped like a bedsheet. It was a huge increase in fun factor. If I was going offshore long term I could see the advantage of swapping out to a smaller sail but for around the Maritimes I think I'll be OK. I also have the cabability to set a staysail on an inner forstay when things get rolicky. Best regards, David
