What is the best manual head?
LAVAC...Just works..
Very happy with Lavac too - simple and low maintenance
Lavac - the only marine head designed not to leak...
I agree, why cruisers continue to choose something more complicated over something so simple is a mystery to me (grin)
Where are you now Jon? Bahamas? or still in Freezing ass cold Florida!
Yeah, my cockpit weather cloths have proved more valuable down here, than back in NJ in December... (grin)
Jon, about Sunset Lake
There are three canals that feed into Sunset Lake, the middle one has no bridge...
Don't need a Y-valve..
If money is no object, go with a Baby Blake
Groco model K rebuild
It may fix it...it may not.
Baby Blake is a bit more than I want to pay...
Price of Baby Blake ain't nothin' compared to the Blakes Victory...
I need compact...
Very happy with the Raritan Compact PHC
PHII Raritan
Raritan Head
Lavac!!!!
Does the seat and inside of the top get wet when you flush your Lavac?
If I ...
This is one of the reasons I say, "install according to instructions..."
Sounds pretty finicky. Will stick with the Raritan PH-II or PH-C
Jil and I have
What might be "common" is the lack of understanding...
I'll add my voice to the chorus Lavac !
Several things to go wrong in the installation, not much goes wrong in use...
Another vote for Lavac
Groco Model K
I love the Lavac
Have you thought of going to a composting head.
Won't fit..the head is in the bow and quite narrow where the appliance has to go...

Yeah, 1936... That's pushing it a bit. Maybe
I need a new bowl
Todd, trying to get a head in trying times ain't easy, is it?
Wheww! I read that too fast the first time
LOL! Good one Westy.
Arrghhhh!!!!!
You might try an adaptor plate that
Definitely worth considering...
Bummer, I think you need to upgrade
Nothing special about the bowl...
Thanks Peggie, I have the parts blow-up for the Skipper II
As Peggy suggests -- I think the best value is the Raritan PHII with the bigger bowl (more like a conventional toilet)
A PHII won't fit
Then can a Lavac?
Looks like a Lavac would fit...
What about the PHC?
It won't fit with the side pump
If you don't want plastic, you don't want a Lavac either...
I don't have a problem with an external plastic pump...
All pumps are external, Todd
I meant external to the head assembly, however...
baby blake manual toilet..
Todd there is a rebuild/maint kit still made
Those are kits for the new Skipper II
