And the boat is out of the water....AND you can get to the inside of the hull ot work on this...Then I'd open it up, use some conventional mat and glass it in properly. You want it reinforced

- If your blade isn't long enough, get the 1/8" X 1" aluminum at the auto parts store.

- Not a good plan. Band-aid repairs like that make a boat into a POS over time.
- My repair suggestion would be the same if the damage was an inch below the deck..do it right
