With vector charts one can easily exceed the the original survey's RESOLUTION, especially when one zooms in.
Such resolution errors is what puts most folks up on rocks, reefs, etc. when using vector charts. So, if you want to come close to safety, dont zoom-in thinking that it will improve the charts accuracy, as that may be a mathematical grievous error; but rather, use the vector charts the same way that you use paper-charts .... with a lot of mental safety factor and 'clearances' mentally added in to prevent 'groundings', etc.
An example of a resolution error would be driving your automobile down a busy/crowded interstate at rush hour .... looking through 10 (or more) power binoculars.
