Yeah, this will be the "the pump sensed water and the people have not" pump... so above the bottom and the intake of the manual pump is a grand idea. The alarm was already in the thought process.

"Anchoring" some form of mounting plate will be interesting. Although come to think of it, I have a wooden plate on the forward end of the bilge area.

And yes, as someone mentioned... the current bilge pump is run in a trough that is only big enough for that one line.

I may be able to route this output up toward the galley area though... I'll have to get my head way down in there and look around... I just figured out some areas cross connected that I did not realize... so there may be even more options.
