the dilema of bare feet...
wear shoes. Cleats and other hard/sharp immovable objects have a way of jumping out at exposed toes.

I don't know how old you are, but those filtering nose hairs grow like weeds eventually....
My right foot is screwed up from not wearing shoes on deck.
I don't have cleats between the cockpit and cabin.
