That is a rule we have and we stick to it. I think it's ok to not wear shoes if you're at anchor but once the boat starts moving get your shoes on. I have been known to take my shoes off underway while sitting in the cockpit but have them next to me to put them on when I get up. Reef Runner kind of slip ons.

So you got me. Thought about that after I posted. When Gene said 'we like going barefoot' all I could think of was barefoot underway. Not good.

Anyway,,, forgive me,,, go barefoot but put them on anytime the boat moves.

We also have those black nonskid strips you stick on all over the place.
