Dan, Was the small stone fisherman's hut

on the beach still occupied? We spent a lot of time at the waterfall around the corner. That was one of my favorite anchorages along that coast. No problems with pirates when I was there, the place was great. A bunch of us ran over for a while during the mini revolution they had in Trinidad when the "African" Muslims tried to take over the government. They pretty much ran the place but true to form, in the Caribbean, the locals always treat the outsiders or minorities as second class citizens. The Muslims had had enough and true to form as well, staged coup and shot up the place. The economy of the islands had tanked because of lower oil prices and it was just a bad deal all around. The whole thing only last a few weeks but it was a good excuse to head back to Venezuela and San Fransisco for a "revolution party". It was kind of like a "hurricane party" but not... There wasn't anything on that entire coast back then. What a beautiful place.
