When you're checking your jackstands, don't forget to check your neighbors.

After a quick thaw to 50 degrees and a good blow, I checked mine the other day. All were a little loose as expected, the ground shrinks when it thaws. As I was about to leave, I decided to check the boat next to me. The first pad was an inch below the hull. That's not that big a deal except this boat only has 5 stands(it should have 7) and is a deep draft fin keel 40 footer.

After that, with dominos in mind, I checked the other boats nearby. All's well. The holidays are upon us.
