Possibly Bob Perrys new design of the PSC38 'may' have saved PSC

Too bad Pacific Sea Craft collapsed without intro of the PSC-38 .... a vastly 'modernized'/updated version of Perry's Valiant/Baba/Tashiba/Tayana series. My bet would be that this 'modernization' of a tried and true and well tested design would have sparked a huge increase in PSC sales. But like in most industries, once 'evolution' ceases, business usually dwindles and then goes out of business ... or becomes just plainly insignificant and then just 'whimpers' towards an inevitable end.
Would you today buy a 1980s designed automobile???? dont think so unless you are a 'cult' follower.
Like Dave on Elysium states: you have to spend money to make money.
