Florida Legislature recently imposed a state law to override apparently ALL restrictive and capricious local/municipal anchoring laws.
However, If the municipality has designated and approved mooring fields then there are exceptions, etc. to the law.
The anchoring problems in Fla. were apparently chiefly driven by land developers and (expensive) real estate holders. The recent anchoring law applied legal relief but is apparently being currently challenged.
