might be pricy in the size you need though. Wire blocks are made with narrow sheaves but large diameter to work with wire. However they are usually not ball bearing either. A larger rope block will not hurt anything, maybe you should try robbing one from somewhere and give it a try. If the sheave groove is too large on a very heavily loaded line its not good, but on a lightly loaded one it won't hurt.
