If you are going with a small fleet it would be best to hitch dinghy rides. I wouldn't trust a Sevylor.

One thing I remember about Lake Erie was getting caught in a sudden wind storm and how quickly Erie gets rough- we dragged and had to up anchor around 3:00 am.. You need a good anchor.

Plan on a pit stop for fuel. water and pump out about mid trip and you should be fine on liquids. Most fuel docks will give you water too and pumpouts are numerous in the great lakes.

Keep one battery isolated as your engine start battery and you won't need to worry about running the other one down.
