Gail!!! Hello and thanks
In Response To: Pocket cruising ()

Thanks to everyone for the good input as well.

Gail, As far as what boat we have now, well, our current boat is an Islander 28. I think that is 3 boats since you and I actually compared notes on such things. Our is a 1985, hull#416. The last Islander 28 to come off the production line in Costa Rica before Islander closed the doors.

I'm looking into a 12v coffee maker, not sure how the pumpout situation will be at the islands, however from what I'm told, it may be easier to stop before getting there and after we leave? I'll investigate this more.

Battery update. I have in fact updated all nav lights to LED's including the anchor light. I was thinking od updating some of the cabion lights as well. This might be a good excuse.

The Seveylor has been with us on 5 boats now. It has a nylon cover and is a lot more HD than a pool toy but certainly not up to say an Avon. The plus is that I can get it down to a roll about 1' x 4' so it fits in our cockpit locker. i would hate to depend on others for rides.

One of things I have also been considering is keeping up with the group. there will be two Beneteau 39's, two newer Hunter 33's and a Legend 35.5. I hope the Islander has enough to keep up, I would hate to make the trip extra long for everyone else.
