you can always use teflon thread tape. I gave up on Tef-Gel several years ago because the little tiny tube is so expensive I was always running out. Wrap 2 or 3 layers of tape on the threads. Since I started doing it I haven't had a problem with aluminum/SS corrosion or galling with SS on SS. When taking screws out after several years they still have a lubricated surface. I don't know how it would to on a head-to-head test with Tef-Gel (I would guess Tef-Gel is better) but it's worked for me so far. It also works really well if you are trying to drive self-tapping screws into fiberglass. The SS galls on the glass and the tape "greases" the threads pretty well.
