this required taking the timing cover, injector pump off, all of the timing gears off, the manifold, the water pumps, the motor mounts, the alternators and the exhaust system off as well. It's one of those jobs where you just have to draw the line and let someone else do it to save your back. All of that to get to one stinking leaking gasket! I don't mind a small oil leak that you can control with a pad but this was getting out of hand. If you own a Perkins you have to manage the oil leaks and when they start to get out of hand you have to bite the bullet and do something about it. It's that or replace the engine and I'm not ready for that yet.
