So the tankage for gasoline consumption was figured accordingly. Plus the fiberglass tanks are built into the hull and covered with steel tops. I've never been in there. When(if) they give me trouble, I'll have to fit stock or have tanks built to go into the space which will result in about half the capacity or less, I'm told.
The boat holds 120 gallons of water in 3 tanks which I guess is not too unusual for a 38'er. You could hide a body in the icebox. It was built for 50lb blocks, also common place back then. Insulation is terrible so you need a lot of ice.
We can go quite a while without having to find a dock, providing ice is available by dinghy that is. That's a nice thing about this boat.
