I can see that. I don't spend huge amounts of time onboard.

I don't think older boats, those we referred to as "blue water off shore" type of decades ago, were designed to be used for the present live aboard style that is cruising today.

If I did spend months, years, our old boat would be cramped even for two. It's just not designed for living onboard. For coastal sailing even with a family for a few weeks, it's ample. For just two, it's commodious for a few weeks.

For living aboard, I'd want a really big boat with volume for dwelling space. For long term company, I'd want an ocean liner.
