Lobstering takes up much of the waterfront in working boats and various pounds where the catch is sold and bait distributed. The public dock was open with room for two boats perhaps and for visiting dinghys.
You can see the bronze of the stoneworker. No doubt it was that industry that built much of the Stonington you see today. Likely granite industry made lots of money for many that lived here in the town(and did not work on Crotch) and built many of the more stately homes that still exist.
Always an interesting stop. It seemed more vibrant than a few years ago. Many stores were open, there's a good sized restaurant on the water and open as well.
