As always, great information - though I often wish I could find a Google translator...

Hi Rich,

...into "Dumbass Layman" for some of your posts... (grin)

Regarding the use of vacuum gauges, however - that's not always possible for a Racor used as a simple polishing filter, no?

I use a Racor 900 for polishing my fuel, as you suggest, whenever the engine is running... But the return to the tank is simply teed into the vent line, putting a vacuum gauge on that filter won't indicate anything, will it?

I should mention, however, that I have my 12V pump installed BEFORE the filter... I seem to recall there might be an argument in favor of "pulling" the fuel through such a filter, as opposed to "pushing" it through, as I'm currently doing...

Would you suggest moving my pump beyond the filter? I'm guessing a vacuum gauge might then work as intended, correct?

best regards,

Jon
