RadioLabs ...

they told me absolutely, positively, guaranteed to work on a MAC. Guaranteed. It didn't. My MacBook was maybe 3 years old at the time, this was 2-3 years ago. I spent all day on the phone with a tech, a couple of 'em, we never could get it, sent it back and they refunded me ... less shipping of course.

Ya know, next year it will be something else. Something better for less money. Something you have to have. I've seen this issue discussed in great lengths for several years with many opinions & options. So far, I've held out, it's just not that important to me, we make do otherwise. Spending time at a restaurant that has WiFi almost always turns out to be fun for other reasons. One thing no one has mentioned is DO NOT RELY on the Internet in the Bahamas, I don't care what the source is or you will be frustrated and disappointed. Like most everything else ... sometimes it works, sometimes it does not ... no problem mon.

I would opt for the least expensive Alpha, I know a number of cruisers who have it and works fine for them dangling the thing off the boom or whatever. Then next time around, spend the money then.

Cheers, John
